Certificated BULATS Online is now recognised as a Secure English Language Test (SELT) for Tiers 1, Tier 2, Tier 4 and spouse visas by the UK Border Agency.

What is BULATS Online?

BULATs Online is an on-demand computer-based test designed to assess language ability in the workplace. It comprises three sections which can be taken individually or together:

Reading & Listening

Writing

Speaking


When will I get my certificate?This may take up to 20 working days but we will endeavour to send it as soon as possible.

Other test information:

For UK visas, the applicant must submit the Test Result forms for each of the four skills, in adddition to a
BULATS certificate provided by the authrorised agent. Test Results forms alone cannot be used as evidence.

All four skills must be taken on the same day. It is not possible to retake any part of the test on the same day.
The BULATS certificate will be issued at the lowest CEFR level achieved over the four skills. Please note that candidates who score below A1 overall will not be issued with a certificate.

Online BULATS is recognised in the UK and internationally by a wide range of corporate, government and educational bodies as proof of ability to use English. See the attached for a list of organisations
which recognise BULATS.

Identifies your language level using the CEFR scale from below A1 to C2
