Language Solutions International seeks applications from qualified and experienced Primary English teachers for international school students to start in August 2023.

Teaching is based in a private International English speaking school in Baku. The flagship school teaches the British National Curriculum to local and expatriate children and is accredited by the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan. It is also a fully accredited school by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the British Council of International Schools (COBIS). They are licensed to offer a range of qualifications from two largest International Examination Boards, Cambridge International Assessment (CIA) and Edexcel.

Teaching in Azerbaijan is a rewarding experience. Azerbaijan is an attractive place to live and work, it has an interesting cultural heritage and beautiful natural geography as it lies between the Caspian Sea and the Caucasus Mountains.

This is a 10-month contract. Start date at school is late August 2023 and finishes late June 2023 with opportunities for renewing contracts for additional academic years.

Required Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Excellent level speaker of English
Strong curriculum understanding
Strong subject area knowledge
A ‘can do’ approach to work and a strong work ethic
Good organization skills
Ability to communicate effectively with parents and students
A minimum of 2 years’ experience and a recognized teaching qualification
The ability to form and maintain good working relations with colleagues
PGCE or recognized teaching qualification/license
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) / Licensed Teacher Essential

Preferred Experience
Cambridge Primary Curriculum or other UK curriculum experience
A Master in Teaching or Education
Two or more years of relevant international experience
Experience of COIS and COBIS accreditation
ICT literacy
