Training programmes for government departments
Since 2005 PLS has been a leading supplier of language training to central government. We have provided customised training in over 50 foreign languages to diplomatic and consular staff and civil servants, at all levels from beginner to advanced.
Our qualified and highly experienced teachers are familiar with civil servants’ language requirements. We have developed a true understanding of public sector language training needs and our service provision includes bespoke training, specifically tailored to the learner’s needs.


The course programmes we offer to government departments include:
- Full time, intensive training
- Flexible, individual courses to fit in with learners’ busy schedules
- Weekly group lunchtime and evening courses
- Self-funded virtual group courses for individuals (see Whitehall Languages)
Hybrid language training

We provide teacher-led virtual training to customers in any location world-wide and in any of the 50+ languages we offer. We support our teachers with specialist training for those involved in online delivery, and have a flexible approach to the virtual platforms that can be utilized.
Teacher-led virtual classes are combined with self-study activities in integrated blended learning programmes, benefiting from a modern and sophisticated “Client Hub” which we offer to all our major clients.
