Our story
Over the last 30 years we have established a reputation as a trustworthy and responsive partner to our government and corporate customers. This has been achieved through excellent customer service, innovation and a constantly evolving approach to language training and assessment.
Since the first of the Language Solutions companies was founded in London 1991, we have expanded dramatically in terms of our sector specialisms, international coverage, portfolio of services, accreditation and industry-recognition. The timeline below highlights some of the key milestones in our journey so far.
1991
Language Solutions Ltd is incorporated by 2 founding partners in London, with the aim of delivering tailor-made foreign language training to British companies and other organisations.

1999
Our first overseas company, English Language Solutions Ltd, sets up in Baku, Azerbaijan, specialising in teaching English to employees from the local energy industry.
2000
Language Solutions Italia SRL is established in Milan, Italy.

Language Solutions Espana SL is incorporated in Madrid, Spain.
2003
Language Solutions Algeria SARL is founded in Hassi Messaoud, Algeria- becoming the first British-owned language school in Algeria.

Language Solutions Ltd merges with a London competitor, Professional Language Studies, and the combined companies start life as a new entity – Professional Language Solutions Ltd.

The international wing of our business, Language Solutions International Ltd, is formally incorporated in the UK, going on to eventually set up long-term English-teaching projects in numerous countries, including Bahrain, Georgia, Germany, Hungary, Indonesia, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, Spain and UAE.

Professional Language Solutions is accredited by the British Council under the Accreditation UK scheme for the teaching of English.

Professional Language Solutions acquires and starts to operate the London Languages brand.

Professional Language Solutions is selected as the Prime Provider to the FCDO, teaching over 50 foreign languages to the British government.

All the Language Solutions companies are restructured under the ownership of a new holding company: Language Solutions Holdings Ltd.
