Assistant Professor - Economics

Our client is a renowned private university in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

We are now looking for a qualified and experienced Assistant Professor - Economics to work on an initial 12-month contract, with possibility of extension/renewal.

Required Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

• The candidate must have earned a doctorate degree in Economics or a closely related field from an accredited Western residential university.
• Have research interests and experience in one or more of the following areas are especially encouraged to apply: Finance principles, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics.
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience post-graduation in Economics.
• Experience in using management applications/ tools, simulation techniques and innovative teaching methods like flipped classroom in teaching economics. 
• Active researcher in Economics/ competiveness and sustainability.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
• A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated teaching excellence in programs in which English is used as the language of instruction.
• An active research record as evidenced by publications in refereed journals and at conferences.
• Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity.
• Experience with AACSB accreditation is highly beneficial.
• Familiarity with technology-infused academic environments is required. 
• Previous experiences in the Middle East in general and in GCC countries in particular are an added bonus.
